Lexie Lamoreaux, age 17 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Janet Weis Children's Hospital, Danville, PA surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Portsmouth, VA on November 24, 2006 and was the daughter of Lloyd Lamoreaux, Jr. of Hunlock Creek. Lexie attended Northwest Area Life Skills Class into her senior year, where she participated as the greeter at the school store and many other life skill activities in class. She received First Holy Communion from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. She loved music, being outdoors, swimming, going to the movies, and spending time with her loving family. Lexie was truly a special and amazing girl, who was full of life and humor despite the many hardships she faced. She is preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Sheldon and Audrey Lamoreaux; and maternal great-grandparents, William and Jane Schinse. In addition to her father, Lloyd, Jr. and his fiancé Amanda, Lexie is survived by grandparents, Kathleen and Lloyd Lamoreaux, Sr.; sister, Lydia Lamoreaux; Aunt Amber and Uncle David LaBar; cousins, Lillian, Olivia, and Brody; and great aunts and uncles. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev. Brian Van Fossen, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Private Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre Arrangements are by the Curtis L.
