Obituary of Christine Marie Carey

Christine Marie Carey, age 44 of Lake Silkworth, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at home.

She was born in Berwick on July 11, 1980 and was the daughter of Daniel, Sr. and Crystal Carey of Hunlock Creek. Christine graduated from Northwest High School in 1998 and was formerly employed by Quality Collison in Dallas as a detailer. She loved to shop online and watch cooking shows. Christine was a stay-at-home mom to her 2 children and was a loving daughter, mom, aunt and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her companion, Joseph Chickson; grandparents, Hannah Alar and Daniel Chester Carey.

In addition to her parents, Christine is survived by daughter, Sarah Kottler; son, Joseph Daniel Chickson; grandchildren, Freya, Eli, Ciri and Evie; siblings, Diane, Daniel and Randy Carey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 4:00 PM from the Sweet Valley Church of Christ, 5439 Main Rd., Sweet Valley, PA 18656, with Pastor Rocky Bonomo, officiating.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM before the service at the church.

Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
