Obituary of Nathan Dean Jacoby Jr.

Nathan "Buck" Jacoby, born on September 17, 1941, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 surrounded by family. Nathan proudly served during the Vietnam era in the US Army.
Nathan lived a full life of eighty-two years. He explored, cherished his Harley, pursued his aspirations, dedicated himself to a profession he adored, and traveled extensively. He experienced love, raised a beautiful family, provided unwavering care for his late wife and his family, healed many hearts, proudly accompanied his daughters at their weddings, witnessed his grandchild's growth, and bravely faced the inevitable challenge of incurable cancer. Throughout his journey, he displayed grace, dignity, integrity, and valor.
Known for his sociable nature, Nathan's actions spoke louder than words, always ready to assist those in need. His presence will be deeply missed, yet he has now found solace in reuniting with his late wife, Barbara.
Nathan had a profound love for biking, whether propelled by pedals or a motor. He devotedly served as a member of the Dallas Legion Riders, The Patriot Guard Riders, dedicating his time to honoring and showing respect to the fallen by leading them on their final journey to their resting place, and was a lifetime member of Dallas American Legion Post #672.
Furthermore, Nathan actively engaged in charitable bike rides. He embarked on a memorable trip from Maine to Florida on his pedal bike to raise funds for the admirable cause of St. Jude.
For many years, Nathan committed his time to Calex Express, accumulating numerous miles. During his free time on Friday evenings, he selflessly volunteered on the sidelines of the Lake Lehman Knights' football field, highlighting his enduring passion for sports.
Nathan will always be remembered for his kind-hearted nature, lively spirit, devoted role as a loving husband, and an extraordinary father.
In additon to his late wife, he was preceded in death parents, Wilma and Nathan Jacoby, Sr; and daughters, Raydean Morgan and Maryann Lee; great-grandson, Gabriel Bierly.
Nathan is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ann and his beloved children: Delores (Glenn) Arthur, Deana (Dan) Kozick, Charles (Sonya) Jacoby, and Arleen (Edward) Eastwood; and siblings, Robert Jacoby and Donna Miller. He is also celebrated as a proud Pop to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he will continue to watch over.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Adam Bierly, officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
A memorial motorcycle ride for Nathan will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024. The family askes those who would like to be involved to gather at the Dallas American Legion, 2974 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA 18612 at 11:00 AM. The ride will leave at 11:30 AM and travel around Harveys Lake to his final resting place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park where there will be military honors. Following the interment, family and friends are invited to the Truckville United Methodist Church, 40 Knob Hill Rd. Trucksville, PA 18708, where they will be served a meal and have a time of fellowship at approximately 1:00 PM.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
