Mary J. Miller, age 71 of Sweet Valley, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Birchwood Nursing and Rehab, Nanticoke. She was born in Brunswick, ME on March 19, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Amelia Readler Donahue. Mary graduated from Crestwood High School. She enjoyed bird watching, cross word puzzles, taking day trips with her late husband, William Miller, and reading her bible. She also loved to care for her dogs. She was a devoted Christian and loved spending time with her family especially her great nieces and nephews and her great-great nephew. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sherry Donahue and Patricia Whitaker. Mary is survived by brothers, Michael, Phillip and Alan Donahue; nieces, Melissa Nichols and husband Harry and Angie Donahue; and numerous other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 12:00 PM from the Maple Grove Cemetery, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Pastor Bill Birch of the Laurel Run PM Church, officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901. Online condolences can be made at clswansonfuneralhome.com
