Obituary of Dustin Wade Fitzgerald

Dustin Wade Fitzgerald, age 31 of Pottstown, formerly of Sweet Valley, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Kingston on February 4, 1993 and was the son of David and Charlotte Fitzgerald of Sweet Valley.

Dustin graduated from Muhlenberg Christian Academy, class of 2011. He then served in the US Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan and then 29 Palms, CA, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Following his military career, he graduated from Universal Technical Institute with a major in Automotive and Diesel Mechanic. Dustin worked various mechanic positions, with his last job being an equipment manager at Bellewood Country Club. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Charles and Esther Steinruck; paternal grandfather, Warren Fitzgerald.

In addition to his parents, Dustin is survived by his wife of 10 years, the former Cierra Plesnar; sister, Jessica Knorr (Kyle) of Granite Falls, NC; nephews, Owen and Wyatt, who he dearly loved; paternal grandmother, Janice Meyers (Rick).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12:30 PM from Calvary Bible Chapel, 362 Hunlock-Harveyville Road, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Pastor Neil Martin, officiating.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM before the service at the church.

Arrangements are by the Curits L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
