Obituary of Leslie William Bauerle

Leslie W. Bauerle, age 83 of Cedar Knolls, NJ passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He has been residing in Dallas with his daughter, Lorna Chin and her husband, David since last November because of illness. Mr. Bauerle was born March 22, 1928 in Cleveland, OH, and was the son of the late Leslie W. and Esther Wendell Bauerle, Sr. Mr. Bauerle received his Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Columbia University, NY and taught high school science in several New Jersey School districts for over thirty years, the last being Chatham Township. He retired 24 years ago. He was a founding member of the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship in New Jersey. Surviving in addition to his daughter, Lorna and son-in-law, David are his wife of 60 years, the former Elizabeth Bigelow; and his granddaughter, Rachel Chin of Dallas. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. The family requests that, if desired, memorial contributions be sent to Seeds of Peace Committee of the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Rd., Morristown, NJ 07960-4611.
