Obituary of James Norman Souder

James “Jim” Souder, age 63 of Sweet Valley, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at home.

He was born in Norristown on August 14, 1960 and was the son of the late Burton and Grace Souder.

Jim graduated from West Side Vocational Tech School, Pringle, in 1979. He was employed as a truck driver for over 25 years. Jim enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife and friends. He was known for being good with his hands and fixing things while helping his friends with whatever they needed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, James Souder, Jr.; and 3 brothers.

James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Souder; daughter, Shasta Colon of Killeen, TX; grandchildren, Brayden and Devin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held July 26, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jim and Dorothy’s Home.
