William "Jim" Bockus, age 85 of Sweet Valley, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 10, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Plymouth on March 17, 1939 and was the son of the late William and Hanna Miller Blockus.

Jim graduated from Plymouth High School in 1957. He was employed by the former Atwater Manufacturing in Plymouth and later retired from Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopany. Jim was a member of the NRA, Planet Fitness in Edwardsville, Living Word Baptist Church in Sweet Valley and attended Sweet Valley Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gail Bonning; sister, the former Suzanne Bockus.

William is survived by son, Bill Blockus of Tunkhannock; daughter, Debbie Watson of Harveys Lake; grandchildren, Benjamin, Mitchell, Ryan, Jasmine and Gabrielle; 7 great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
