Obituary of Betty Morris Barski

Betty Barski, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

She was born in Sweet Valley on November 25, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Glenn and Elma Mae Reakes Morris.

Betty loved her family deeply, loved her church family, and loved the Sweet Valley community. She was a matron to many, and her laugh and mischievous, playful nature will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, Sr.; and son, Robert.

Betty is survived by sons, Randy (Lori) and Stephen (Derna); grandchildren, Crystal, Desiree, Jordan, Jenna, Ryan, and Josh; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Township, with Pastor Raymond D. Purdy, Jr. of the Living Word Baptist Church, officiating.
