Obituary of Joyce E. Hoover

Joyce E. Hoover, age 82 of the Outlet section of Lake Twp., passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Miss Hoover was born in Lake Township on October 28, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Russell and Elsie Sorber Hoover. Joyce graduated from the former Laketon High School in 1947 as Valedictorian of her class and received her Bachelor's degree from Roberts Wesleyan College in New York. She taught high school in New York and Pennsylvania. Joyce was a lifetime member of the Outlet Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling extensively in many countries throughout the world. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by brothers, Ellis Hoover and Rev. Warren Hoover. She is survived by her sister, Faith Dinger and her husband LaMar of Lake Twp; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, with Pastor Matt Riley of the Outlet Free Methodist Church and Rev. Warren Major of the God's Missionary Church, Jackson Twp., officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will be in the Kocher Cemetery, Lake Twp.
