Melvin Hoover Segear Obituary
Melvin Segear, age 92 of Dallas, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
He was born was born in Plains Township on August 13, 1931 was the son of the late William and Fannie Bloom Segear.
Melvin worked at Nelson Furniture, Kingston for over 27 years as an upholsterer, and then as a custodian at the Lake-Lehman High School and Misericordia University. He was the Fire Police Chief for Lehman Township Fire Company for over 50 years. Melvin was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club and enjoyed riding motorcycles and wood working.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laverna Warner Segear; and several brothers and sisters.
Melvin is survived by sister-in-law, Hilda Silver.
At Melvin's request, there will be no services or calling hours.
