Karen L. Sorber, age 85 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Hampton House, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in West Nanticoke on April 8, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Kimble Rowe and Marjorie Wolfe Sorber.

Karen graduated from Harter High School and worked at George Washington University as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed going to ice cream socials with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth R. Sorber.

Karen is survived by son, Jeffrey; nephew, Kenneth J. Sorber (Ann Marie); niece, Kimberly A. Holbrook (Candice).

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Carol Folk of the Loyalville United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Twp.
