Robert H.Thomas, age 92 of Dallas, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.

He was born in New London, CT on June 1, 1931 and was the son of the late William H. and Clara Olsen Thomas.

Robert served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked as a machinist/tool maker in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Robert was a man of great faith and served as President of Connecticut Federation of Adult Bible Classes. He also held many positions in several churches including Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Music Director, Choir Member and Lay Preacher. Robert was a current member of the Northmoreland Baptist Church, Tunkhannock. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan for 84 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, the former Mildred Ide; second wife of 24 years, the former Eva Martin; son, David Thomas; brother, William Thomas.

Robert is survived by daughters, Joan Thomas and Carol Lawrence and her husband Gary; sister, Cora Walag; grandsons, John Richards, Jr., Mark Richards and his wife Rachel, and David Richards.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Associate Pastor James Howell of the Northmoreland Baptist Church, Tunkhannock, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Loyalville.
