Warren A. Rogers, 77 of Shavertown, PA passed away January 3, 2024 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Kingston, PA to the late Warren H. Rogers and Irene Finney Gildea. Carl Gildea of Plains, PA was also a wonderful father to Warren.
Warren was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1964. He was employed for 23 years in Eastern Management water company in Dallas, PA which later became known as United Water Pennsylvania as a production technician. He loved his job and retired in 2010 after the birth of his first grandson.
He was a member of Valley View Union Chapel in Larksville, PA. Warren had a love for sports and enjoyed to hunt and fish. He was a coach for his daughter's softball teams at Back Mountain Little League and basketball at Lehman-Jackson Elementary. He was also a proud band parent of the Lake-Lehman Band. Warren loved the New York Mets ever since he saw them play after the 1964 World's Fair in New York. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family.
Warren is survived by his wife of 55 years Theresa (Kocher) Rogers, Shavertown; daughter Leeanne (Rogers) Croft and husband Travis Croft of Lusby, MD; daughter Amy (Rogers) Campbell and Christopher Campbell of Shavertown; grandchildren, Ryan and Gwen Campbell.
There will be a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Twp., at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
Memorial donations may be made to Valley View Union Chapel, 1555 Mountain Road, Larksville, PA 18651.
