Filena "Fil" Laule, age 87 of Lake Twp., formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Philadelphia on March 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Devlin.

After graduating high school, Filena attended business school in Philadelphia. In the 1970's, Filena and her husband owned and operated Lena & Fil's Pizza in Philadelphia. She had a variety of office jobs including at Sears Roebuck & Company, Ester Williams Pools, and England Greenhouses, before retiring after 14 years from Pennypack Ecological Recreation Trust.

Filena was a member of the local Red Hatter's Club, and enjoyed baking, crafting, gardening, puzzles, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Wyrick.

Filena is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Herman Laule; sons, Kirk and his wife Debra of Huntingdon Valley, Wayne and his wife Lenore of Blakeslee, and Bryan and his wife Lisa of Lake Twp.; grandchildren Wayne and his wife Amanda and Kyle and his wife Samantha; and great-grandchildren Cameryn and Max Laule; and Kaysen, Skylar, and Calvin Laule; and her brother Joseph Devlin.

A private memorial service will be held at by the family.
