Henry "Hank" Stuart, 87, of Shavertown, Pennsylvania went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 19th, 1936 in Dallas Pennsylvania, he was the son of Henry and Esther Stuart. Hank was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an Airman, second class, during the Korean War. He was married to Linda (Hilgert) Stuart for 60 years. They resided in Shavertown where they raised their family of 4 children. Hank was a self-employed contractor of Hank's Home Improvement for 52 years. He loved his family beyond measure and passed along his strong work ethic, his joy of helping others and his zest for life! He helped everyone he crossed paths with, never expecting anything in return. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, which allowed him to feed countless people through the years. Hank was a faithful member of Living Word Baptist Church. He willingly served the church community, often helping those in need by using his knowledge and carpentry skills. He was adored by the children who looked for him every Sunday or church function. Hank is survived by his wife, Linda and their children; Mark (Sharon) Stuart, Doug (Dee Dee) Stuart, Kim (Carl) Fox, and Chad (Lisa) Stuart; he was "Pop" to his 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Asher, BreighAnne, Jennalyn, Paige, Drew, Titus, Tony, Alex, Cody, and Kayla; and 5 great grandchildren, Alisa, James, LJ, RJ, and Skylar. Hank was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, and his grandson, Kiefer Walsh. He has one surviving sister. During his brief illness, Hank found great comfort in the care he received at home from his loving wife, Linda, and a 6 week visit from his daughter, Kim. He also enjoyed many visits from his church family and friends, his chosen family Ed and Tammy Lemelin, his niece Karen Brown, and granddog Penny Sue. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 12:00 PM from the Living Word Baptist Church, 40 Hess Lane, Sweet Valley, PA 18656, with Pastor Raymond Purdy, officiating.
