Obituary of Richard King Thomas Sr.

Richard K. Thomas, Sr. age 84 of Dallas, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Scott Township on June 10, 1939 and was the son of the late Herman and Mary Thomas.
Richard graduated from Scott High School, class of 1957. He was a long-haul truck driver and retired from the state where he plowed snow. Richard was a member of the Cross Creek Community Church, Trucksville. He was a lifelong motorcyclist, enjoyed spending time with his family, reading and watching cowboy movies. Richard was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Frailey; brothers, Robert and John Thomas; sisters, Virginia Saxe and Jane Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mareve; children, Richard, Jr., Scott, Corrine, Jeffrey and Lori; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Cross Creek Community Church, 370 Carverton Road, Trucksville, PA 18708, with Pastor Dave Martin, officiating.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
