Gary E. Gray, Sr. age 54 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre on December 18, 1968 and was the son of the late Robert and Shirley Gray.

Gary attended West Side Vocational Technical School, Pringle and then entered their nursing program which led to his EMT journey. He spent most of his years as a truck driver and had his CDL. Gary finally followed his passion and opened his own wood working shop, Postal Woodworking, which lead to him spending his final days doing what he loved. He was a member of the Hunlock Creek Volunteer Ambulance Company and enjoyed listening to music, auto repair, scuba diving and watching his favorite shows including MASH, Looney Toons and Scooby Doo.

Gary is survived by his fiancé, Mary Husband of Hunlock Creek; 1st wife, Brenda Gray of Plymouth; children, Gary "Bud" Gray, Jr. of Hunlock Creek, Paul Gray of Plymouth, Erin Gray and her fiancé, Charles of Plymouth, Samantha Gray of Plymouth, Wyatt Gray of Hunlock Creek and Daniel Reese of Alden; siblings, Robert "Ace" Gray, Jr. of Hop Bottom, Randy Gray of Plymouth, Connie Harvey of Hunlock Creek, and Tina Hunter of Plymouth; grandchildren, Arabella; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 4:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Immediately following the service will be a final call for his ambulance service.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM prior to the service.
