Obituary of Leslie Newell

Leslie "Scoob" Newell, age 53 of Harveys Lake, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Geisinger Medical Center Danville. She was born in Kingston on April 6, 1970 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Nancy Newell. Scoob enjoyed spending time outside, going for motorcycle rides, camping, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill "Hillbilly Willy" Dunbar; mother-in-law, Shirley Dunbar; and brother-in-law, Paul Dunbar. Leslie is survived by daughters, Maurisa Hallock and her husband Larry and Dezare Dunbar and Mark Pachamovitch; grandsons, Larry and Hunter Hallock; sister, Beth Newell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Jay E. Jones, Trucksville United Methodist Church, officiating. Viewing will be Tuesday, May 23, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
