Obituary of Joseph Stephen Levi

Joseph Stephen Levi, age 84, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on March 21, 2013. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph & Anna Malak Levi. Also preceding him in death was a brother, William Levi. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jean Isopi Levi. Also survived by 3 children: daughter Mary Ann & her husband Andrew Michaels of Myrtle Beach, SC; son Joseph & his wife Gina of Charlotte, NC; daughter Debra & her husband Gregg Yankovich of Myrtle Beach, SC. and 4 grandchildren: Marisa Michaels, Nicholas & Joshua Levi, & Noah Yankovich. Sister-in-law Catherine Carchilla of Charlotte, NC & Brother-in-law William and his wife Rosemary Isopi of Dallas, PA. He has several nieces & nephews. Prior to moving to Myrtle Beach, SC in July 2004, Joseph & his wife resided in Shavertown, Pa. with their family. He owned & operated the "Chase Nursery" in Shavertown for 43 years before retiring. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and belonged to the Daddow-Issacs Post 672 American Legion in Dallas, Pa. and the Elks Lodge 1771 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Joseph loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter & fisherman. On Tuesday March 26, 2013, there will be a calling hour from 10am-11am @ St. Therese's Church, Shavertown Pa., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial @ 11:00am. He will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming PA.
