Charles F. Patton, age 65, of Noxen passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his home in Tunkhannock. He was born on April 24, 1957 and was the son of the late Bruce, Sr and Mary Murphy Patton. Charlie, as he was known, was raised in Noxen and had a great many family and friends there. He spent many years working as a mechanic, he loved to work on cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Bielecki, Bruce Patton, Jr., and Joan Swire. He is survived by former wife and partner, Susan Newell Patton; children, Shaun Newell (Jess) and Kristan Newell; siblings, Richard Patton (Holly), Florence Klappat (Richard), and Linda Babb; grandchildren, Dakota-Rose, Austin, Chey, Maddie, Steph, Alex, Kat, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Lanie, and Baby Newell. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at 7:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Ben Hubbell of Noxen Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home before the service.
