David W. Leidy, Sr., age 55 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He was born in Philadelphia on December 10, 1967 and was the son of the late Earl and Evelyn Leidy. David worked in construction and roofing for many years before becoming a truck driver with Herules Paper, Arrow Appliances and Krispy Kreme Doughnut. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with his family. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Christopher Miller and sisters, Roxanne and Evelyn Leidy. He is survived by his wife of 29 ½ years, Kathleen Leidy; daughters, Rebecca, Colleen and Erika; sons, David, Jr., and Stephen; sister, Darlene Corsey; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
