Obituary of Nita Fay Leapline

Nita Leapline, age 89 of Shavertown, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

She was born in Connellsville, PA, on April 20, 1933 and was the daughter of the late John Cemlyn and Vera A. Gangawere Jobes.

Nita graduated from Dunbar Township High School and Business Training College, Pittsburgh. She was an active member of Grace Community Church, Dallas, where she was the pianist for at least 50 years.

In addition to her parents, Nita was preceded in death by her sister, Vera West.

She is survived by her husband of 69 ½  years, David Leapline; children, Zita Patton of Ohio, Diana Race (Andy) of Noxen, Barbara Trautman (Mark) of North Carolina, Linda Gordon (Mike) of Kingston, Karis Martindale (Larry) of Shavertown; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at 12:00 PM from Grace Community Church, 4122 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA 18612 with Pastor Dwight Hodne officiating.

Viewing will be on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.

Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas
