Gerald E. Dowgul, age 81 of Whiting, NJ, originally from Hatboro, PA, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia on December 22, 1941 and was the son of the late Eugene and Jean Szymczuk Dowgul. Before retirement, he worked as a maintenance supervisor with Nabisco for over 20 years. Gerald enjoyed doing photography, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, listening to classical music and enjoyed a martini at the end of his night. Gerald was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Deanne Keller; son, Brian Wittmer (Sarah) of Roseville, CA; daughter, Aimee Beckerich (Todd) of Telford, PA; grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Bapa and Papa: Dylan, Jake, Katie, Daphne and Connor Lee; numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA of Bucks County, 1665 Street Rd., New Hope, PA 18938.
