Claire Adams (born March 16, 1934) ended her earthly journey on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at sunrise. She left this earth as she lived her life, with quiet dignity with her family by her side.
As well as being a homemaker, Claire held position in the garment industry, dentistry, and home health care. She loved to travel and enjoyed many memorable getaways with friends. She loved all animals but especially enjoyed watching the birds at her feeder. Spending time with and doting on her many grand and great grandchildren gave her much joy. Thanksgiving and Christmas meals were always a treat. You could feel the love she so tenderly prepared them with.
Above all else, Mrs. Adams happily lived a life of Godly service.
Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mae (Howie) Searfoss; brother, Donald Searfoss, Jr.; as well as her husband of 47 years, Robert Adams. She is preceded in death by daughters Beverly and Barbara; and daughter-in-law, Sandra.
She is survived by her son, Robert A.; daughter, Lynn M. Sutliff (Loren); as well as 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her longtime companion and fiancé, Mr. Warren Peters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Raymond Purdy, officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home before the service.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Twp.
In lieu of flowers, Claire would request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
