Obituary of Gary William Cragle, Sr.

Gary W. Cragle, Sr., age 75 of Shickshinny, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nanticoke on December 28, 1946 and was the son of the late Daniel and Roberta Watts Cragle. Gary graduated from Northwest High School in1965 and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Procter and Gamble on January 2, 2002 with over 25 years of service. His last assignment was in the Baby Care/DOS Department. Gary was member of Huntington Mills Church of Christ. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by wife, Theda Hoyt Cragle; son, Kevin Cragle; and brother, Daniel Cragle. He is survived by daughter, Sherry and her husband Mike; son, Gary Cragle, Jr. and his wife Shannon; daughter-in-law, Vicki Cragle; sisters, Sharon and Margie; grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Cody, Miranda, Katelynn, Brody, Luke and Olivia; numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
