Obituary of Jean Louise Conger
Jean Louise Conger, age 90, went home to be with Jesus on September 26, 2022 at the Bonham's Nursing Home.
She was born on September 13, 1932 in Shickshinny and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rebecca Ridall.
Jean was the first in her family to graduate high school which she did in 1951 in South Williamsport. She married Gerald Conger in 1958 and they traveled the world with the Air Force. While living in Germany, she learned how to decorate cakes and had a small business when they returned to the States. Jean was a homemaker and an amazing seamstress. She worked at Berwick Industries until she retired. Jean was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Shickshinny.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Gerald E. Conger; and several sisters and brothers.
Jean is survived by daughter, Deborah Boyer and her husband Rick of Benton; son, Gordon Conger of Benton; daughter, Elizabeth Sabecky and her husband Bob of Sugar Notch; brother, Edward Ridall; sisters, Sarah Ridall and Cathy Crispell; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren that she loved so very much and was very proud of; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek with Pastor Rocky Bonomo, Sweet Valley Church of Christ, officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM before the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Sorber Cemetery, Union Township
