Obituary of Brian Douglas Whitesell

Brian D. Whitesell, age 61 of Hunlock Creek, went home to be with his Lord on September 8, 2022 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp, surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born in Broome, NY on October 7, 1959 and was the son of the late Robert and Joan Whitesell.

 

Brian was employed by American Asphalt and Pulvermans. He was an active member of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, Hunlock Creek. Brian enjoyed fishing, farming and spending time with his family.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Larry.

 

Brian is survived by children, Alishia Houck (Oliver) of Nanticoke, Adam Whitesell of Hunlock Creek and Emily Whitesell of Hunlock Creek; step-son, Jeremy DelKanic of Hunlock Creek; brother, Steve Whitesell (Dory) of Hunlock Creek; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

 

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Oakdale Cemetery with Pastor Dan Brubaker of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, officiating.

 

Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
