I worked with Carlene at Commonwealth Telephone in the Cable Division. After I left Commonwealth in 1992 we stayed in touch for many years, meeting off and on for dinner. When my Mom died in 2018, Carlene called me to offer her condolences immediately upon reading the obituary. She was always a very caring, giving person who I am very glad to have had the opportunity to know.

To Carlene’s family,
As you know so well, Carlene was a blessing to all who knew her. She was always friendly and helpful.
Carol and I have fond memories of our years at Trinity where we were so warmly welcomed by Carlene. She served as an elder and Clerk of Session while I was pastor. Her work made mine so much easier. We are so grateful for her friendship.

Mrs McCaffrey will be remembered fondly by me for her many kindnesses to my Mom, Joyce Swepston. I remember many visits to her beautiful home at Harvey’s Lake and her involvement in many activities that benefitted many. I hope that in time the wonderful memories of her will bring the family comfort.

I am so sorry for ur loss! Carlene was an integral part of my daughter’s life. I will always remember the many days my daughter spent at Carlene’s as she and Crystal enjoyed the beach!! They had a blast!!
Carlene was like a mentor Jen...always guiding her!
I enjoyed seeing Carlene at our Fire Co dances. It was a great way to catch up n she ALWAYS asked, “how’s my Jen?”
I am so very grateful I saw Carlene in her yard last summer n I stopped to chat w her. I’m glad I got to speak w her but ever so grateful I got 2 hugs!!
Carlene is a woman who will be missed and NEVER forgotten. Prayers to the whole family!!

I worked for Jim & Carlene at Sandy Bottom 1967, 1968 and 1969. They were both great folks. Carlene stopped to see me when my mother passed away in 2015. So sorry for your loss.
