Obituary of Arthur David Searfoss

Arthur David Searfoss, age 59 of Tunkhannock, went to be with his Lord, Monday, August 29, 2022 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Somerville, NJ on March 2, 1963, and was the son of the late Clarence and Ruth Scott Searfoss.

Arthur graduated from Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1982, and attended the former Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit. He was employed by Mile Hill Collision, Tunkhannock, and later at PA Hutchison Company, Mayfield, PA. Arthur was a member of Independent Bible Church, Duryea, and the Lake-Lehman High School Band. He enjoyed drawing, painting cars, repairing vehicles, trains, and singing. He was a loving husband, father, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nephew, Jesse Searfoss.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jackie Searfoss; daughters, Brittany, Bethany, and Barbara Searfoss; siblings, Bo Searfoss, Hazel Chase, Barbara Franzetti, Herb Searfoss, and Len Searfoss; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 12:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Duane Boyer, Independent Bible Church, Duryea, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 4:00 PM from Independent Bible Church, 328 Main St, Duryea, PA 18642, with Pastor Duane Boyer officiating.

Interment will be in the Dymond Section of Orucutt's Grove Cemetery, Noxen.
