My deepest sympathies on Hedy's passing. She was an original and special lady whom I had the honor of working with many years ago at SCI Dallas. Not only did she work as the Superintendent's secretary for 43 years, she was the first employee in that position when SCI Dallas opened. She was a true professional and role model who carried herself with pride while also displaying a great sense of humor. She told me many stories of growing up with all of her siblings and her extended family in Poland. I respected that she always wanted to give back to them by sending her love with regular care packages. I know she also grew and loved flowers and brought them in from her garden in the summer months.
May the impact she had on others through her life give you comfort of a life well lived. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
