Aunt Cathy lived on the other side of the country from us my whole life, but she and Uncle Ralph always, always went out of their way to show us they loved and were thinking of us. Christmas wasn't Christmas without a package in the mail full of toys from Ralph and Aunt Cathy's homemade peanut brittle and hard rock candy -- and growing up without much contact with extended family, it meant the world to get to hear the warmth in her voice over the phone when I was little. Thank you for making this world, and the lives of two little boys, more full of love, joy, and compassion.
May you rest in peace, Aunt Cathy.
Love,
Patrick

Ralph and family,
My sincere condolences on the loss of Cathy, your wife and mother. Cathy was an important and essential member of our Air Force team at the 92nd APS in Wyoming, PA. Chief McCormack insured that spouses and families were part of our military family. As the commander for six years from 1993 to 1999 I valued the contributions of the McCormack family and my wife, Justine, and I grieve for your loss. May the hand of God comfort each of you.
Kenneth P. Johnson, Lt. Col., USAF, (Ret)

To my Pennsylvania family,
Cathy McCormack was like a mom to me. She never judged the 14-year-old me, she celebrated the "you graduated from high school" me and she celebrated my accomplishments and wins and supported me in those "life kicked me down a few notches" moments over the years. She and my brother were my support system. Together, they made a mighty team. They gave me the confidence to achieve. As kids growing up, my sons, Harrison and Patrick, knew and loved Aunt Cathy thanks to her baking and candy making that would arrive and make each Christmas complete.
Frankly, she was just great -- and despite the miles and years apart, I will miss her greatly.
Much love and sadness,
Marlene McCormack
