Robert Bernard, age 72 of Lake Township, passed Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 13, 1950 and was the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Ellinor Westlye Bernard. Robert graduated from Brentwood High School, Class of 1968, and served in the United States Navy as a machinists mate during the Vietnam War. He later retired as a corrections officer at the State Correctional Institution, Dallas. He enjoyed hunting and quad riding; and was famously known for his potato salad. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, and especially adored his grandson, Shane. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, the former Audrea Martin; son, David Ciminelli; daughter, Alicia Pavalonis; grandson, Shane Pavalonis; sister-in-law, Charlene Streppel and husband Bob; and nieces, Tonya and Trina A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
