Obituary of Marion Maceiko

Marion Maceiko, age 74 of Sweet Valley, was reunited with her husband John in Heaven to continue their next journey together on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the RWJ University Hospital in Somerville, NJ. She was born in Nanticoke on August 6, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Caroline Skovish Saluta. Marion graduated from Nanticoke High School. She worked as a secretary with Middlesex Chemicals for many years. Marion enjoyed listening to county music, traveling with her husband, line dancing, and attending holiday farm parties. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and greatly enjoyed spending time with her sisters, cousins, and other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John “Spike” Maceiko; and sister, Christine Yokavonis. She is survived by son, Anthony Maceiko and his wife Julie of Bridgewater, NJ; daughter, Lisa Wenzel and her husband Chris of Green Brook, NJ; sister, Mildred Michalek of Parker, TX, grandchildren, Brandon, Alyssa, Breanna, Mia, and Anthony; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A prayer service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 3:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek with Rev. Jim Paisley, St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
