William Harry Mitchell, passed away February 27, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. He was born in Nanticoke and was the son of the late William Garland Mitchell and Elva Hutchins Mitchell. William resided in Hunlock Creek for his 82 years at the same residence close to his family. He was self-employed most of his life in the trucking industry. He is survived by his sons, William A. Mitchell and his wife Darlene of Hunlock Creek and Ronald L. Mitchell and his wife Susan of Hunlock Creek; sister, Mary Ann Mitchell Meade and her husband Richard of Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, William G. Mitchell, II and his wife Shanan of Hunlock Creek, James A. Mitchell and his wife Michele of Hunlock Creek, Stacey Mitchell Neville and her husband Arty of Hunlock Creek and Stephen Mitchell of Hunlock Creek; great-granchildren, William H. Mitchell II, LilyAnn Mitchell, Kasper Mitchell, Abigail Neville and Levi Neville; 2 nephews, Ricky Meade and Harry Meade; 2 great-nephews, Richie and Gavin. Funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
