Carl "Buck" Harrison, age 83 of Sweet Valley, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Trucksville on June 26, 1938 and was the son of the late Frank and Hildreth Garnett Harrison; and his paternal grandparents, John and Lulu Harrison who helped raise him. Buck graduated from Huntington Mills High School, Class of 1955. He had a lengthy and successful career in road construction for numerous years. He also drove ambulance, was Treasurer of the Fireman's Relief for over 15 years, was an active member and Treasurer of Bethel Hill United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Goldwing Riders Association. Buck was a avid reader and outdoorsman, enjoyed solving puzzles, riding his motorcycle, and traveling. He was a loving Father, Husband, Companion, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; and brothers, William and Robert Harrison. He is survived by his long time buddy, Betsy Winter; sons, Robert B. and Scott D. Harrison; Daughter, Cheryl A. Blockland; grandchildren, Tania, Justin, and Shawn; and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Mike Bodek, Bethel Hill U.M. Church, officiating. A viewing will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM before the service. Interment will be in the Bethel Hill Cemetery, Fairmount Township.
