Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edith Ann Kraynak, age 83 of Mechanicsburg (formerly of Wyoming PA), passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wyoming, PA on June 3,1938 and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Jones Fritz. Edith graduated from Wyoming Area class of 1956. She was employed in the pharmacy at Nesbitt Hospital and also worked at Highland Manor Nursing home, but her most prized occupation was being a stay-at-home Mom to her 4 children. Edith will be remembered for many things such as her feisty nature, the fact that she had a "song for everything", her artistic abilities (especially when it came to ceramics or decorating for any occasion but especially Christmas), and her love of Penn State Football. She was an incredible chef, who loved to entertain and was known for her homemade macaroni and cheese, stromboli and pork dumplings. However, the thing she will be remembered for most was the love for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Fred Fritz, and Pete Fritz, and sister Shirley Connors. Edith is survived by her loving husband, Edward Kraynak Daughters; Ann Rodriguez and her husband Gene, Karen McNichols and her husband Robert Jr., Lori Rice and her husband Doug and son Mark Kraynak. Grandchildren; Tori, Alex and Cole Rodriguez, Alexa and Zachary Rice, step-grandson Bobby McNichols III. Sisters; Jane Carey, Nancy Monroe, Carol Miller and her husband Dick, many nieces and nephews, and close neighbors and friends. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
