Obituary of Laura Culver

Laura Marie Culver, age 82 of Hunlock Creek , passed away peacefully Monday, November 1, 2021 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ross Township on September 9, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Willard and Marjorie Sutliff. Laura graduated from South Dade High School and attended Lake Lehman High School. She was involved with the family tomato farm and worked at the Cragle Bible Book Store. She attended Sweet Valley Church of Christ and enjoyed caring for her house and yard. Laura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Royal who passed away in 2018; daughter, Debbie Dodson; and step-son, Royal Buck, Jr. Laura is survived by son, David Williams and his wife Susie of Lancaster; stepson, Scott Culver of Sweet Valley; siblings, LaRue Sutliff, Dr. Lourell Sutliff, and Loren Sutliff, and their spouses; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, with Laura’s grandson, Pastor Bryan Dodson, Faith Baptist Church, Plymouth, and Pastor Rocky Bonomo, Sweet Valley Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township.
