Obituary of Catherine Mary Scavone

Catherine “Kay” M. Scavone, age 86 of Sweet Valley, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her home. She was born in Larksville on February 19, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Lucskaj. Kay graduated from St. Stephens Catholic School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her loving family and dog, Bambi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Donald Scavone, Sr.; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by children, Donald J. Scavone, Jr. and his wife Gini of Dallas, Donna Pesacreta and her husband Thomas of Olympia, WA, Diane Garnett and her husband John of Ocala, FL, David Scavone of Sweet Valley, Denise Driscoll and her husband Rodney of Sweet Valley and Dina Shaw and her husband Randy of Pittston; grandchildren, Alysa Gronski, DJ Scavone, Tommy Pesacreta, Gina Hinton, Michele Bonavita, Ashley Keefe, Stephanie Whipple, David Scavone, RJ Driscoll, Emily Driscoll, Michael Shaw, and Taylor Haught; 10 great grandchildren; Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 8:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Louis Kaminski, St. Martha’s Church, Stillwater, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
