Obituary of William John Miller

William J. Miller, age 66 of Sweet Valley, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on October 15, 1954 and was the son of the late James E., Jr. and Anna Belleba Miller. William graduated from Crestwood High School in 1972 and served in the US Air Force Reserves for 12 years. He retired from Metro Shelving, Wilkes-Barre as a Maintenance Manager. William was an avid outdoorsman, including hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed building model kits. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Miller. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Miller; sister, Nancy Gartlind; nieces, Melissa Nichols and husband Harry and Darlene Lanning and husband Bruce; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dale Mooney of Mountain Top Baptist Church, officiating.
