Barbara Louise Halesey, age 78 of Wilkes Barre, passed away October 25, 2016 at the Hampton House, Hanover Township.
Barbara was born on March 13, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre and was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Hoyt Hilgert.
She enjoyed music, dancing, anything to do with Native American Culture and visits from her best friend, Katie.
Barbara is survived by son, Donald Rice of Harveys Lake and Daniel Rice of Ohio; daughters, Donna Bonavina of Larksville and Patti Mirra of Hanover Twp.; sisters, Patricia Radonavitch of Dallas, Florence Liller of Cumberland, MD, Nancy Kittle of Benton and Linda Stuart of Shavertown; grandchildren, Corissa, Christie, Courtney, Brittany, Aaron, Jamie, Danny, Katie, Joseph, Megan, Nicole and Sara and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Heartland Hospice Care, 613 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
