Obituary of Anthony Albert Zbick

Anthony "Tony" Zbick, age 91 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, with his family by his side.
Mr. Zbick was born in Ceasetown on April 4, 1924 and was the son of the late Peter and Katherine Mazur Zbieg.
Tony was a graduate of Harter High School Class of 1941. He was employed by the former Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company and by Eberhard Faber, from which he retired. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth.
Tony was a gentleman of many talents and hobbies including woodworking, welding, repairing engines and working on any project his friends brought to his garage. He greeted everyone with a smile and enjoyed his friends, garage, house and most of all his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Louis, Walter, Joseph, Martin, and John; and sisters Mary, Pauline, and Victoria.
Tony is survived by his wife of 68 years, the former Louise Shuleski; daughter, Christine Drabick; sister, Hedy Zbick; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 9:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, with Rev. Richard Fox officiating.
Friends may call 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lake Silkworth.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, Pa 18621-4303 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
