Pop-Pop,
Today I just felt like writing to you, so I’ll catch you up on what you missed.I still miss you, 8 years later. It’s never been the same without you. Losing an important male figure in my life like you has led me to fill in that spot with amazing friends. If you’re curious, Kate’s doing fine. We got cats 6 months after your passing, they recently turned 8. We have dogs now, one we’ve had since 2019 and one since 2022. Mom and Dad are doing really good. Great Grandma passed 4 months after you did, and Aunt Ruth passed awhile back in 2023. I hope they’re both with you. I’ve grown a lot, I’m 6ft now and I’ve been getting stronger. Sadly, no sports, but I was never a sports guy anyways. I’m a sophomore in High School now and I’m 16, turning 17 in July. Every January 5th, I wear a cross necklace to commemorate you and your devotion to Christ, i like to remember you in that way. Grandma Bonnie has been doing okay, and I visit Grandma almost every week, she’s doing great. Alie and Erin are doing fine, I’m seeing them today. Erins in college in Vermont and Alie is a junior, she turned 17 today. Please give me a sign that you’re still out there, looking after me. I just want to know if there’s a chance at salvation, and that I would eventually see you again sometime in the future.

My deepest condolences in the sudden loss your husband, father, son and brother "Jack". I had the pleasure of meeting Jack in 1987 when he and Bonnie were first dating. It was very evident what a good man he was and devoted Father to his children and family. Jack and Bonnie were a perfect couple for their love and dedication to family, strong faith with belief in God, nature and wildlife.

Jack was amazing man. Be would always stop n talk to me when was on his way to church. I know he was one of my friends growing up I hear stories all the time about the Vernon boys.many of my memories have jack in them. He is haven happy looking down on us
