Nicole Nancy Gensel, age 38 of Sweet Valley and Wanamie, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Nicole was born on August 28, 1977 and attended Ross Elementary School in Sweet Valley and graduated from Lake-Lehman High School. After graduation, she lived in Arizona and Idaho for a few years. Upon returning to the area, she graduated from Allied Medical and Technical Institute in Forty-Fort. Nicole was a very caring person to all who knew her. She was loving of all animals especially her horses, dog, and cat.
Nicole is survived by her son, Austin Gray; mother and father, Frances and Torrance Gensel; sister, Cindy Eckrote and her husband William; brother, Terry E. Gensel and his wife Barbie; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor James Pall of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, officiating.
Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Lateer Cemetery, Sweet Valley.
