Obituary of Vivien June Everett

Vivien June (Metcalf) Everett, age 89 of Shickshinny, went home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Bonham's Nursing Center, Stillwater. Mrs. Everett was born in Nanticoke on April 6, 1928 and was 1 of 11 children born to the late John, Sr. and Catherine Price Metcalf. Vivien was employed by the former Karen Manufacturing in Sweet Valley for 43 years. She attended Bloomingdale Bible Church until her ill health kept her at home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Norman, infant son, Craig, brothers, Darte, John, Jr., Glenn, Richard and Neil and sister, Jacqueline. Vivien is survived by son, Kevin of Harrisburg; sisters, Sue Hoyt, Bonham's Nursing Center, Ferne Stevens of Shickshinny, Madeline Bilby of Shickshinny and Peggy Cragle of Hunlock Creek; grandson, Michael of West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Neil Martin of the Calvary Bible Chapel, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Private interment will be in the Scott Cemetery, Huntington Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bonham's Nursing Center, 477 Bonnieville Rd, Stillwater, PA 17878.
