Obituary of Bertha Marie Wolfe

Marie Wolfe, age 95, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 12th. She had been a resident at Golden Living in Gettysburg for the past two years. Marie and her husband, Lawrence were lifelong residents of Meeker, where they raised their family. They were members of Bible Baptist Church in Shickshinny for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence in 2004 and daughter, Janice in 1982. Marie is survived by her daughter Irene Smith and husband, Eddie of Gettysburg, her son Robert and his wife, Shirley of Glendora, CA. Also grandchildren Dan and Rozina Smith and their son, Hagen of Washington, NJ, Tim and Julie Smith of Lenoir City, TN and Michelle and Thilo Young of Diamond Bar, CA. Funeral will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek with Pastor Bob Gray of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, Gettysburg, officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 prior to the service on Monday. Committal service will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Don Thomas, Jr, of Bible Baptist Church, Shickshinny, officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Shickshinny Bible Baptist Church, 43 Furnace St., Shickshinny, PA 18655.
