Kathy G. Jones, age 69 of Tunkhannock, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Phoenix, AZ on October 13, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Lillard and Anna Sholly Mounts. Kathy graduated from Spring-Ford High School, Royerford. She loved going to the gym, hiking, kayaking, camping, campfires, reading mystery novels, music, especially classical. traveling with her husband and dogs, Willy and Daisy, in their camper, bicycling at Gettysburg, boating, four-wheeling, and spending time with family and friends. Kathy was employed at Metro Wire, Wilkes-Barre, and retired from the PA State Hospital, Clarks Summit, as a human resource analyst. She was also a member of the Civil War Roundtable, Tunkhannock Rotary, and the Susquehanna Trailers Hiking Club. Kathleen is survived by her husband of 10 years, Wendell Jones; siblings, Jerry Mounts (Mary Kay), Eric Mounts (Donna), Rick Mounts and Steven Mounts; and numerous other siblings, step-children and step-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Memorial donations can be made to Camp Bravehearts Oncology Camp for Women, 19 Cambridge Road, Albany, New York 12203.
