Our family has known Michael for the last twenty years. God bless this man. He was our yard man but more than that he was our friend. Our entire neighborhood shall miss this man terribly as he not only cared for our lawn but most all of the lawns on our street and around our block. He loved to talk and once you got him going it sometimes seemed as though he would never stop taking. And if you knew him than you know what I mean. No matter the subject he had an opinion to offer or a yarn to spin about it. He could frustrate the heck out of you with the odd hours that he would show up at your door, bill in hand and wanting to chat for a good solid hour (LOL) but when he worked he worked like a mule. We used to laugh and say that we knew when winter was coming because that’s when Mike would put his shirt back on. I don’t think that I will ever be able to look out our back door and not see him there toiling away at his job.
He was a good solid honest working man with a heart of pure gold and a rarity in this day and age. We shall all miss him terribly. Our hearts and our prayers go out to his family and to all of those who knew him and loved him.
