I’d like to share the first time I met Donny in person. I had on several occasions talked to Don on the phone because my husband Rusty & him were friends at work & he always had something to say to me even though we had never met. But on the occasion I first met him, we were all helping a friend move & Donny came to our house. He was looking around and he was in my kitchen & went right to my microwave and opened it up. I was confused and asked him if he was hungry or needed anything? He turned to me and said no I’m good, but what the inside of someone’s microwave looks like shows how clean their house really is and your good. Frankly I was speechless and not sure what to say. I told Rusty what happened and he said, don’t worry about it, that’s just Donny.
I soon found out that wouldn’t be the last time Donny would leave me not knowing how to act or respond to his comments or strange humor.
You were a great friend, father and husband and I for one will miss your calls and many off the wall texts especially during this football season.
