Obituary of Donald Louis Mills

Donald L. Mills, age 87 of Loyalville, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Mills was born in Caledonia, upstate NY, and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mills.
Donald served in the US Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the former Commonwealth Telephone Co. and later retired from Frontier Communications. Donald was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children, Theresa, Stephen and Matthew, sister-in-law, Audrey Menta, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years, the former Theresa Menta.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am from the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev. Alex Roche, officiating.
Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lake Silkworth.
Memorial donations may be made to the Greater Wilkes-Barre Association for the Blind, 1825 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, PA 18643.
